Flashback: young Takashi was crying on his own in the playground. A girl came to him and asked him what wrongs. She old the young Takashi that she thought the he can see strange things.
In the school a young man looking for Natsume Takashi. Takashi’s classmate woke him up and told him someone’s searching for him and as they looked at the door he disappeared. At night, Takashi was sleepin, a spirit knocked on it’s door and asked to return his name. Feeling tired he came back to his bed then Madara (Nyanko) came back home with a smell of alcohola and told Takashi that he brought a gift for him, a small toad, which is now jumping all around his room. After he catches the toad he releases it to the wild.
Two spirits barges in the house and asked for Takashi’s help to get rid of a human. There’s a human who’s been using his power to exorcise spirits just for fun. The spirits are not happy about this because they just want to live happy and carefree but Takashi refuses and doesn’t want to hurt any human. The two spirits excorted and follows Takashi all the way to school. At school, he saw a guy looking at his direction which made him smile.
As he goes home from school he saw again the two spirits and follows him again which made Takashi to give up and and promised to talk to the human. Unfotunately, the spirits doen’t know what the guy looks like because he sends of waves which made the spirits not to get closer and they said that the one sending off waves smells like human.
Flashes back: young Takashi asked the lady if she can also see strange things.
Takashi was attacked by a bunch of weakling spirits and thought he was the human sending the wave. Still, Takashi convinced the spirits that he was not the one they were looking for. After that they sense a powerful energy which made Madara transform and told to come with him and made the spirits flee.
At school. two of his classmate was worried about him looking tired. Takashi sensed that someone’s was looking at him. Asking his classmates he found out that his name was Tanuma and he just recently moved at Yatsuhara which made Takashi think that Tanuma could be the exorcist.
Flashback: Young Takashi heard his former foster father that he can’t stand Takashi specially his ability of seeing strange things. He became sad and ran to the playground. There he saw the lady and comforted him. Unfortunately, Takashi found out that the girl who comforted him was actually a spirit because his neighbor just saw him all alone in the playground. Which made young Takashi more upset and made him cry.
Takashi’s classmates thought that Tanume and Takashi has a similirarity. Takashi returned in the forest and saw the two spirits flat on the ground. Takashi sensed that something is coming and it turn out to be a horse-like spirit named Misuzu and he wants his name to be returned. Takashi apologizes because he can’t return his name for now because he needs to find the exorcist. Misuzu offered his help because he save his servant which is the small toad earlier. Misuzu runs and then Takashi realized that if Misuzu finds the exorcist he’ll be surely dead. Takashi runs as fast as he can and then Madara told him to order Misuzu to stop. Takashi called his name and ordered him to stop. He did stop Misuzu before he attacked the exorcist which is a priest.
The priest is just doing he’s random spiritual cleansing because his son was spiritually sensitive and they just recently moved in Yatsuhara. They found out that this priest doesn’t have the ability to see the spirits. And he heard that this place is full of ghost so he want to do some cleansing so that it’ll ease his son’s feelings. Takashi told him that the spirits are good and wont harm anyone so that he could tone down his cleansinga act. The priest asked him if he can see spirits but Takashi hesitated to answer and thenthe priest told him that he doesn’t need to answer. He wants Takashi to talk to his son. And Takashi found out that the priest ’s family name was Tanuma.
Takashi told Madara about the spirit ransformed into human girl just to talk to him. Although he was upset that she lied to him but he’s glad that he met her.
At school, Takashi asked Tanuma if he can see those two strange things. Tanuma admitted that he can only see a two shadows. He aplogizes if he sounds crazy but he heard Takashi can also see those things that’s why he wanted to talk to Takashi. Takashi tells Tanuma that he indeed can see the strange things but it’s a secret. At night, someone knocked at the window, it was Misuzu, and he is asking for his name. Takashi apologized and told him that he can do it next time because he is really tired. The next morning, the two spirit gave Takashi some flowers/fish as a token of appreciation.
~Yay! A new character.. hehe And I really thought that this guy was a bad one! And it got me wrong. Unfortunately we didn’t see any flashbacks of Reiko but rather flashbacks of young Takashi, And it was really upsetting, I empathize young Takashi. Still I’ll continue watching the anime.. =)
